Both the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette and the La Salette Retreat and Conference Center adhere to the policies of the Diocese of Fall River. Accordingly, we kindly require that all guests deacons and priests comply with the following procedures, without exception.
Any non-La Salette Clergy (deacons or priest) who does not belong to the Diocese of Fall River and plan to celebrate or participate in any public ministries and/or retreat works while on the premises of the Shrine and Retreat Center, must submit a letter of suitability to the Provincial Office of the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette in Hartford, from their Bishop or Religious Major Superior (Provincial).
The letter of suitability has to be addressed to the Provincial Superior of the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette, Province of Mary, Mother of the Americas, and copied to the Director of the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette at least THREE WEEKS IN ADVANCE of the scheduled ministry.
The request will be reviewed and endorsed by the Provincial Superior of the Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette, and then processed by the Diocese of Fall River.
Please notice that ONLY WHEN official approval from the Bishop of the Diocese of Fall River has been granted, WILL the deacon or priest BE PERMITTED to minister at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette and La Salette Retreat and Conference Center.
